Even most outdoor enthusiasts eventually have to come in. I read somewhere that the average person spends about 80-90% of their time indoors. My first reaction was stunned and disbelief. Certainly they can’t mean everyone, right?
I thought, we spend a lot of time outside in the summer, and even the warmer days in the spring and fall. Then I started adding up all the time we are indoors for eating, working, watching TV, household chores, and especially sleeping. If the average sleep for a person is 8 hours that is 30% of our day indoors alone.
As reality sank in, I decided it was time to make our home as healthy as can be. Yes, it was time to give our home a healthy makeover. Time to get rid of the allergen trappings, and mold possibilities that can make us sick. I used to get allergy shots on a weekly basis, and it’s not fun. It’s time consuming, costly, inconvenient, and itchy. If I can eliminate some of that risk for my kids, I’m going to do just that.

As an interior designer, I have come across a number of different projects for clients throughout the years. One of my favorite integrations into a few of those different projects has been vinyl wall art. I was opposed to the idea of using vinyl art for home makeover for a number of years because I thought it looked cheap and tacky, but once I figured out the best uses for it, I was not only able to spring some life into a few kids rooms, I was also able to add a creative flair to a friend of mine’s house as well.
Below, you’ll find 3 different projects where I’ve incorporated vinyl stickers into the design. The first 2 are ideas and project concepts that I used to revamp some kids rooms and the third is a project design for a friend of mine in which we used vinyl wall stickers to add some “spice” to her living room. Each project is a bit different and I’m sure you’ll get some great ideas from each of them as you go along. Organizing them into different projects seemed the most appropriate, as trying to lump all of my different ideas into one big article seemed like it would get confusing. Anyways, I’ll stop rambling. Here are my 3 favorite wall stickers projects.

It is said, a woman is the queen of her house, and kitchen is where she rules from. As men, we need to understand the deeper meaning of what is said, and help them make their favorite place even better.
In this brief guide, I have endeavored to take up 2 subjects related to the kitchen. The pantry and the nook respectively. Let’s dive in.
We all have lots of food that goes into our kitchen pantry never to be seen again. A pantry in the kitchen is an integral part of any family home in that it not only serves as a place to store and hide all of your food, but it also acts as an extra space to organize.
If you’re having trouble organizing your food in your pantry, it may be time to invest in some pantry furniture. Most people are content with the small plastic shelves that come standard in most pantries, but if you want to kick it up a notch and get the most out of your pantry space, investing in some better shelving and storage furniture may be a good idea.
Let’s take a look at some of the things you can buy to make your kitchen pantry nicer to look at and better at its job.
